Eco4 Grant – What is it?
What is Eco?
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government scheme that was introduced in 2013 as one of the many ways the UK are trying to reduce carbon emissions. Under the Scheme, Energy companies are Obligated to provide free grants to low income or vulnerable homes so they can afford new energy saving measures in their property.
Is it really free?
Yes! The Grant you receive is not repayable under any circumstances and it will not affect any current or future benefits claims.
How much will I get?
Under ECO Rules, the value of the Grant awarded is based on what improvement can be made on your homes energy efficiency. This varies from house to house and depends on a few factors of your home such as, Detachment, Number of bedrooms, Current Heating, Wall construction.
Our Grant advisors will go through all of this with you and ensure we are getting the maximum grant for your property.
Will I have to pay anything?
This depends on the value of the grant your property is entitled to and the cost of the installation.
Our Grant Advisors will let you know how much Grant is available for your property, then provide a quote to install your chosen measure, If the Grant is larger then the Quote then there will be nothing to pay. On the other hand, if your Grant is lower then the install cost then you will have to pay the difference if you would like to proceed.
Do I get a choice of what boiler is installed?
Yes. We work with all major manufacturers in the UK and our Grant advisors will go through your requirements with you to recommend the most suitable boiler. if you already have a particular boiler in mind, and it meets ECO minimum efficiency requirements then we will provide a quote for you.

You can have any of the above measures or a combination of measures done, for free, if you are in receipt of any of the following benefits or have a qualifying medical condition. Your Property must be Energy Rated E, F or G.

If your household income, before tax, is less than £31,000 you qualify for full Grant Funding.
If you are a single adult with four children and your income, before tax, is less than £34,500, you will qualify for full Grant Funding.
If there are two adults with 2 children and your income before tax, is less than £32,300, you will qualify for full Grant Funding.
2 adults with 3 children and your income before tax, is less than £37,200, you will qualify for full Grant Funding.
2 adults with 4 children and your income before tax, is less than £42,000, you will qualify for full Grant Funding.
