Description

The Energy Bank is the latest design in Lithium-Ion Phosphate Technology. Known as LifePO4, they are far superior in performance to Lithium-Ion batteries with greater charge and discharge capacity and much greater life expectancy with 6,000 full charge and discharge cycles.

The Energy Bank has a built-in, double active protection, BMS, battery management system, which can manage and monitor battery voltage, current, temperature and provide other information to provide a reliable power source for various equipment and systems. The battery management system has protection functions such as over-discharge, over-charge, over-current, high and low temperature and many other safety features built in.

The individual cells are encased in a quality steel housing with adoptive self-cooling to quickly reduce the overall noise of the System. The modules are non-toxic, non-polluting and environmentally friendly. Each module automatically manages the charging and discharging and provides real time status, balance of voltage of each cell through an LED display. The module has less self-discharge, and can be put on the shelf for up to 6 months without charging. There is no memory effect, and the shallow charge and discharge performance is excellent.

Flexible configuration, multiple battery modules can be connected in parallel to expand capacity and power.  The PowerWall batteries are available in 5kW modules and can be expanded to five modules giving a total energy storage capacity of 25kW.  Easy installation and no maintenance requirement. Compatible with many existing inverters, (please check inverter compatibility before ordering).

Energy Bank has RS232 communication to provide remote diagnostics and adjustment direct from our UK office-based service team. Each and every battery module is tested for full charge and discharge and operation in our quality control labs before leaving the factory. We provide a 10 year fully comprehensive manufacturer’s warranty on the products with full repair and replace available.  Products have achieved CE registration and the latest safety standard for Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulations 2016 UK CA.

 

You will require an inverter to control the flow of electricity to and from your Energy Bank.  An inverter turns DC (Direct Current) to AC (alternating current) mains electricity.  Energy Bank will work with any existing inverter.  To size the inverter go to Inverter Page.  To size the batteries please see the examples below.

Home Installations

Work out your annual electricity usage.  This will be represented as kWh (Kilowatts per hour used).  There will be an annual estimate on your electricity bill.  If not, call your energy supplier to get an estimate.  If the amount of electricity usage is consistent throughout the year, divide the figure by 365 days.  This will tell you the average amount of electricity you use per day.  If you go away on holidays you can subtract the amount of days away from the 365 figure and divide by that amount.

Annual Electricity Usage 3,500 kWh divide by 365 days = 9.5 kWh per day.  In this example you would require a 10 kW Energy Bank

Annual Electricity Usage 5,000 kWh divide by 365 = 13.7 kWh per day.  In this example you would require a 20 kW Energy Bank

Business Installations

Businesses tend to use a great deal more energy but can be shut at weekends and close for holiday periods.  If we removed weekends and two weeks holiday closure we get 50 weeks x 5 days = 250 days.

Annual Electricity usage 30,000 kWh divided 250 days = 120 kWh per day. In this example you would require 2 x 50 kWh Energy Banks and 1 x 20 kW Energy Bank.
